Dr. Vijay Mundhe is a Senior Consultant Interventional Neurosurgeon and Head of Endovascular Neurosurgery at JJ plus Hospital and visiting consultant at Medicover Hospital, United CIGMA and AIMS hospital, Aurangabad. He finished his MBBS in 2008 from GMC, Latur, After that he went on to complete his MS General surgery from Government Medical College, Nagpur. Dr. Mundhe earned MCH Neurosurgery degree from prestigious Govt Medical College, Trivandrum. Dr. Vijay Mundhe has also undergone a two year fellowship in Neurovascular Intervention ( Interventional Neuroradiology) at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai under the guidance of Dr. Anil Karapurkar, who is considered the pioneer in this field in India and Dr. Rakesh Singh who is known as pre-eminent Interventional Neurologist in the Font Sizeion. Dr. Vijay Mundhe has numerous publications in Indexed Journals and presentations at many National And International Conferences which includes Winner of Best Paper Award at LINCC Paris, 2020.
Dr. Vijay Mundhe is an Interventional Neurosurgeon, a rare breed; he is the first neurosurgeon in the city with two years of training in neuroradiology under DNB board. After returning from training, he is actively and independently performing both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and finds his basic training as a Neurosurgeon an immense advantage in managing these patients, as it is the patient as a whole who needs to be treated and not just the radiographic images He has performed many interventional procedures including Aneurysm Coiling, Extra Cranial Stenting, Intracranial Stenting, Intra-Arterial Thrombolysis for acute ischemic Stroke, Embolization of AVMs, Pre-Op Embolization of CNS Tumours and local Thrombolysis for Venous Sinus Thrombosis, Apart from being a Endovascular Neurosurgeon, he has vast experience in managing Neurotrauma, Intracranial And Spinal Malignancies, Craniovertebral-junction disorders, Spinal fusion procedures and Paediatric Neurosurgical Problems.
